Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra

Welcome to your “Char Dham Yatra” tour! The Char Dham is a Parikrama starting from Yamunotri – Gangotri-Kedarnath and finally at Badrinath which is also one of the Dham set up by the Adi Shankracharya in the 8th Century AD.During the Journey you will come across all the five Prayags too. Our Trip will start once you arrive at the Dehradun railway or Bus stand. On arrival, you will be met by our representative whose contact information and other details will be shared by you 48 hours prior to the Tour. He will also be your Event Manager and Photographer.

DAY 01 Dehradun – Barkot/Naugaav (Approx 137 km /approx. 6 hours drive from Dehradun)

After arrival in Dehradun, you will be given a brief introduction of the tour by the tour Manager. He will clearly mention all the Do’s and Don’ts during the trip. EnRoute To Barkot spend some time at the Kempty Falls (If time Permits). We will reach to the final destination of the day by the evening. Drop off your bags at the Hotel and Rest of the day is for Excursion and sightseeing.

 

DAY 02 Barkot/Naugaav – Yamunotri – Barkot/Naugaav (100 km Drive and 11 km trek)

After the Early morning Breakfast, we will head towards Jan Ki Chatti, The Base for Yamunotri Trek. The Trek to Yamunotri Temple from Jan Ki Chatti is approximately 5.5kms One way. After a walk of around 3 hours reach the temple of Goddess Yamuna by afternoon. The darshan and puja will be followed by a dip in the hot springs situated there. Return to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti (On foot) and further proceed to your resort. Overnight in Barkot/Naugaav.

 

DAY 03 Barkot/Naugaav – Harshil (165 km taking approx 7-8 hours )

After the Darshan of Mata yamunotri we will head today for Gangotri via Harshil, which is considered to be one of the hidden jewels of the Himalayas. It is situated on the Banks of river Bhagirathi and is surrounded by Garhwal Himalayas on all sides.

DAY 04 Harshil – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (165 km taking approx 7-8 hours )

Today after an early breakfast, drive to Gangotri. Drive along the Bhagirathi river and pass through dense

Forests. After a drive of about two Hours reach the Gangotri Temple, which is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi, where Shiv Ling is submerged. This natural rock Shiv Ling, is the place where,according to mythology Lord Shiva sat when he received the Ganga in his matted lock. It is visible in the winter months when the water level decreases. En route we enjoy picturesque Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas.After Gangotri Darshan, proceed further to Uttarkashi and check in to the hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure for independent activities.

DAY 05 Uttarkashi – Phata / Rampur / Sitapur /SonPrayag (200 km taking approx 8-9 hours )

Today after an early breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive for Guptkashi/Rampur/Sitapur. On arrival

check in at resort.

Overnight in Guptkashi/Rampur/Sitapur.

 

DAY 06 SonPrayag – Kedarnath (18 km trek taking approx 8-9 hours)

From Sonprayag, start your trek to Kedarnath (3584 mtr) on foot or by pony / doli (On your own).Proceed to your guest house and check-in.

Note: Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath.

The rest of the evening is at leisure. One can visit the Kedarnath Temple or attend the pooja ceremony. Pay your Tribute at the shrine and spend some time soaking up the peaceful, spiritual atmosphere of the place.

Overnight in Kedarnath.

 DAY 07 Kedarnath to Phata/Sitapur (18 km trek down and 74km drive)

Early morning you get up before dawn and after taking bath you are at the temple by 4:45 am for the ‘Abhishek’ to Kedarnath Shiva. Everyone can go inside Garbha Griha and touch the idol. You can also prostrate with your head touching the deity etc. After Darshan and puja you come out of the temple and return to the guest house /lodges. Start your trek from guest house in Kedarnath to Sonprayag (On foot).

Later, drive to phata/Sitapur. On arrival, check in to the hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure.

Overnight in phata/Sitapur.

 

DAY 08 Phata/Sitapur to Badrinath Via Joshimath (18 km trek down and 152km drive)

Post early breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. It is one of the ‘Four Dhams’ and is one of the most Celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country. It is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar and Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. On arrival in Badrinath, check in to the hotel.Later in the evening, visit the Badrinath Temple for Aarti. The darshan and puja will be followed by a dip in the Tapt Kund (Hot Springs). Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinath Ji is 15 meters in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. Later, return to the hotel.

The rest of the evening is at leisure for independent activities.

DAY 09 Badrinath to Srinagar Via Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag (approx 170 kms and 7 Hours drive)

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Srinagar via Karanprayag and Rudraprayag. En route visit the Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti Temple.Later, check in to your hotel in Srinagar.

Overnight in Srinagar

 

DAY 10 Srinagar to Haridwar (approx 190 kms and 8 Hours drive)

Today after breakfast, proceed to Haridwar via Devprayag.

Later afternoon, visit Mansa Devi temple (optional) followed by an evening Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri.

 After the most famous Arti, Bid Goodbye to the “Do Dham Yatra Tour” as you will be transferred to the railway station / Bus station in

Haridwar for your onward journey.
