How The Searching Souls team make your treks safe and comfortable?

Factors that affect the rating of a Himalayan Trek:

TheSearchingSouls is India’s Leading trekking community which caters over 15000 trekkers annually. We always thrive to make a trekking experience memorable for our trekkers. With over 7 years of experience in organizing treks across India, TheSearchingSouls has brought some significant changes in the way treks were organized. Here are few disruptive changes that makes your trek comfortable and safe with us.

1. Safety: First company in India to pitch Medical Tents in India

At The Searching Souls we take a holistic approach in making the trekking experience safe from all aspects we take both proactive and reactive measures into account while considering the operations of a trek

  • Proactive Measures:
    • Detailed briefing sessions: The trekkers are informed time to time after booking a trek regarding the preparations of a Himalayan Trek. On arrival at our base camp the base camp managers and trek leaders brief each and every trekker in details about the right way to proceed for the trek.
    • NIM/HMI/NIMASCertified Trek Leads: At The Searching Souls basic mountaineering course is the primary eligibility for a Trek leader. All our trek leaders are qualified from NIM or HMI which are the most prestigious institutes in India
    • BP Machines, Oximeters: We pitch medical tents at each of our camp site. Every day vitals are checked at each camp site to ensure the trekker is safe and healthy to proceed.
  • Reactive Measures:
  • Certified First Aid Responders:Our Trek leaders are also certified first aid responders who are well trained to handle difficult situations in the mountains.
  • Stretchers, Ropes, Oxygen Cylinders:All equipment is available in the medical tents pitched at each of our camp site. The team is well trained and equipped to tackle in case of emergencies

2. First Company in India to Introduce Jumbo Bags – A complete rental solution

During our initial years of operations we realised that trekking gears can be very expensive for a beginner. Also, for people coming from cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune etc are not able to use that equipment in day to day life as these cities don’t have such cold winters.

Keeping in mind all these factors we designed a product which is a complete rental solution.

We cover the top 10 items required in a Himalayan trek and provide it to our trekkers at a mere fee of Rs. 2500. If you take all these items from any local rental shop they will easily cost you around Rs. 4000 and if you go out to buy them the cost can go up to Rs. 20,000.

Not just the cost the quality of the equipment we provide is much better than any equipment available in India.  Most of the equipment is used by our trek leaders as well and it keeps you warm and comfortable in most of the Himalayan Treks.
