How to Reach Dehradun?
Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, is known for its prestigious schools, Basmati rice, and litchis. For adventure enthusiasts, it also serves as the base for trekking in the Garhwal Himalayas. To reach the starting villages of most treks, your first destination will be Dehradun.
Many trekking organizations provide pick-up and drop facilities directly from Dehradun. Popular treks such as Kedarkantha, Dayara Bugyal, Kuari Pass, Brahmatal Lake, Valley of Flowers, Har Ki Dun, Bali Pass, and many others have Dehradun as their starting point.
We always recommend trekkers to spend a night in Dehradun before beginning their trek journey, as it allows you to rest and be better prepared.
