How to reach reach Lohajung? Base camp of the Brahmatal trek
Lohajung, nestled at an altitude of 2,350 m, acts as the base camp for many popular treks like Brahmatal, Ali Bedni Bugyal, and Roopkund. Lohajung is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. The town is a small, beautiful village where one can find good options for stays along with local and Himalayan cuisine. By Air:

By Train:

By Road
Lohajung is well connected by road to major cities in Uttarakhand. Buses and taxis are available from places like Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Kathgodam. There are only 3–4 government buses available from these places, with the last bus departing around 8 PM. Another option is to take shared taxis, which run until 8 AM and usually charge around ₹1,000–1,200 per person. After this, the only option is to book your own taxi, which generally costs around ₹8,000 for the entire cab.
