Pin Bhabha Pass Trek Overview & Itinerary
The Pin Bhabha pass trek is a high altitude pass situated at an elevation of 4908 m above sea level. It connects the lush green Bhabha Valley to the stark and arid pin Valley in Spiti. It is a dramatic cross over trek and is one of the challenging options available for people who want to hit higher altitude. You get to witness everything on this trek starting from forests of mulling, grasslands of mulling, Kashmir like meadows of Karah, the river delta of Phutsirang and finally the Pin Bhabha Pass. Every Day is a new adventure

PIN BHABHA PASS TREK ITINERARY
- Pick up from Shimla bus stand at 6:30 AM
- Breakfast and lunch on the way
- Overnight stay in a guest house in Kafnu Village.
- Trek to Mulling after breakfast
- First half is a gradual ascend second half slightly difficult
- Today’s trail is mostly forest covered
- Packed lunch for the day
- Overnight in Camps at Mulling
- Leave for Karah Camp site after breakfast
- Today’s trek is easy only the last 1 km is a steep ascend
- Hot lunch will be served at camp site
- Evening acclimatisation activities
- Overnight in camps
- This day is kept for rest and acclimatisation.
- Some team games and acclimatisation activities will be conducted by our team
- Leave for the Phutsirang camp site after breakfast
- Today is a continuous ascend.
- You wil get to witness – Hansbeshan Peak, Nimish Khango, Tari Khango, and Pin Bhaba Pass
- Hot lunch will be served at camp site
- Today we start early at 2-3 AM in the morning
- This is the most difficult day of the trek
- Limited water sources so carry enough water from the camp site
- Keep floaters/Sandals for river crossing
- Packed lunch for the day
- Arrival at camps around evening.
- This is last day of the trek and probably the easiest
- Mudh is small village in Spiti and is 50 Km from Kaza
- Overnight in kaza
- Leave early in the morning for Manali
- Its a long and tiring drive
- Expected arrival in Manali by 7:00 PM
Note: It is advised to keep a 9th day i.e a buffer day for this trek in case of bad weather or any unforeseen situation. In case the buffer day is not used you can stay back in Manali. If the buffer day is used then you need to Pay Rs. 2500 extra to the trek leader for the extra day used
Safety with TSS

- Sun Cap or Sunscreen (SPF 30+)
- Dark Sunglasses. People who wear spectacle may use photochromatic lenses in their spects
- 2 pair of warm socks and at least 2 pair of normal cotton socks
- 1 Pair of slippers/Sandals
- Woolen Cap and Gloves for night
- Toiletries – Tooth brush, Tooth paste, Liquid soap, Hand Sanitizers, Slippers, Light Towel, Toilet Roll (Avoid wet tissues as they are not eco friendly)
- Torch or Headlamp with extra pair of batteries
- Personal Medical Kit: Crocin-Fever, Avomine-Motion Sickness, Avil 25mg – Allergies, Disprin-headache, Norflox TZ & Lomofen-diarrhea, digene-acidity, omez/rantadine antacid, crepe bandages, band aids, ORS, betadiene or antiseptic cream, moov spray/volini, cotton, gauze.
- Water bottle 1 L or Hydration bag 2 L
- Other personal accessories – Camera, Tripod, mobile charger, power banks(as there will be no electricity during the trek)
Note:
- Note: AC doesnt run on hills in fixed departure batches. Standard Non AC vehicles are provided for transportation
- Being a high altitude trek, this trek is suitable for climbers with good physical condition and stamina.
- This is a tentative itinerary which may change as per weather conditions
- We expect you to carry your rucksacks, in case if you want them to be carried by mules back pack offloading charge up to Rs. 4000 is applicable
