Dayara Bugyal trek Distance

Day-wise Breakdown of distance for Dayara Bugyal trek
Day 1: On the first day, you travel by road from Dehradun to Natin. This initial leg covers roughly 180km and takes about 8 to 9 hours, depending on the roads and the traffic to reach the destination. While we do not cover any distances on foot, this day is important for acclimatization. You arrive at Natin in the evening, rest, and prepare your body, gear, and mindset for the upcoming trekking days. There is no trek on Day 01.
Day 2: On this day, the real trekking journey begins. Today you go to Gui, which is around 4km trek from Natin. You leave Tugasi walking through dense pine and oak forests, rivers, and gentle slopes, reaching a peaceful campsite near Guling,. The trek takes about 3-4 hours, providing a gentle but satisfying first climb. From Gui you get a wide view of the Himalayan peaks such as Bandarpooch, Jaonali, Shrikanth, Gangotri groups of peaks etc.
Day 3: Today, you hike from Gui to Dayara Top and return back to Gui, covering roughly 7 km or 3.5km one way. This is where the forest begins to thin and you move into more open meadows, with clearer view of the most prominent Himalayan ranges. The trek duration for this day is long—roughly 7 to 8 hours, depending on pace and trail conditions. The Hike to Dayara Top is Gradual ascend of 3km approx making it challenging especially for those trekking for the first time but with correct guidance and equipment you will do it without any hassle. Various peaks visible from the summit are Bandarpooch, Jaonali, Shrikanth, Kalanag, Draupadi ka Danda I and II, Gangotri groups of peaks etc.
Day 4: It is relatively easy as you just need to descent to natin and head back to Dehradun on the same day. The trek till Natin is easy and is a constant downhill of around 3-4km. From there you sit on the allocated vehicle and move to Dehradun on the same day. The Arrival time at Dehradun is around 10pm.
In short, The Dayara Bugyal trek is a short trek of around 14-15km, though challenging weather condition especially during the winters makes it a challenging affair. The Trek is popular, yet less explored as compared to other winter Himalayan treks and offers a great comfort for trekker looking to spend some time in peace and with nature.
