September is one of the most serene months to visit the Valley of Flowers. The monsoon rains begins to recede, skies clear and mountains provide beautiful views of the Himalayan peaks. September is the month when you can easily spot flowers like Himalayan Knotweed, River Beauty, Himalayan Balsam, Brahma kamal, Blue Poppy, Bellflower, and Potentilla. In September, as the winter gradually sets in, temperature starts to fall, particularly in the higher altitudes of the region such as Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. Joshimath

Day Temperature: 14°C to 18°C

Night Temperature: 9°C to 12°C

Altitude: 1890 m

As the monsoon season gets over, the sun in September comes out bright and strong during the day. This keeps the daytime temperatures comfortably between 14°C and 18°C and night time temperature between 9°C to 12°C making Joshimath feel fresh, and very pleasant.

Ghangaria

Day Temperature: 10°C to 15°C

Night Temperature: 2°C to 8°C

Altitude: 3049 m

As you climb higher up to Ghangaria, you will really start to feel the cool breeze. Because the September skies are so clear, the sun shines bright during the day, keeping the day time temperature between  10°C and 15°C whereas the night time temperature drops 2°C to 8°C.

Altitude: 3,658 m

Hemkund Sahib

Day Temperature: 5°C to 10°C

Altitude: 4,329 m

September brings cooler weather to Hemkund Sahib as the monsoon season begins to end and winter slowly starts approaching. During the day, temperatures generally remain between 5°C and 10°C. The skies are often clearer than in July and August, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
