Dalhousie: Dalhousie and Khajjiar are towns situated at the foothills of the Dhauladhar Ranges in Himachal Pradesh. Both the towns are situated near an altitude of about 2000mtr. Dalhousie boasts of old world charm, mesmerising natural landscapes, pine clad valleys, fast flowing rivers and magnificent misty mountains. The town will remind you of old colonial heritage.

Khajjiar: Khajjiar town is 24km from Dalhousie and is also referred to as mini Switzerland of India due to its lush green velvet like Grass and astonishing Himalayan View. This region also attracts adventure seekers and has a lot of options in adventure sports like paragliding, horse riding, zorbing, trekking etc. It is also known for its nine hole golf course.

Here are the places you must visit around Dalhousie and Khajjiar.

Khajjiar Lake: Khajjiar Lake is the main attraction of the Khajjiar town. The lake is surrounded by a very large meadow. The view from the lake makes this place a must visit if you go to Dalhousie and Khajjiar.

Kalatop wildlife Sanctuary: Kalatop wildlife sanctuary is just 11km from Dalhousie and is famous for its flora and fauna. One can spot animals like Deer’s, leopards and Serows, if lucky enough you can also spot the famous Goat antelope. Apart from this you can also spot over 100+ species of bird.

 St. Francis Catholic Church: In one line “It is a paradigm of Art and Architecture”

Satdhara falls: It is a fall that brings the water of seven springs together as indicated by the name. The water of the fall contains Mica or “Gandhak” which is believed to cure skin diseases.

Dainkund Peak: It is the highest point of Dalhousie located at an altitude of 2700mtrs above sea level.

One need to trek a little to reach to the top, but the view from it is worth every single step you took.

Rang Mahal: It is one of the most popular tourist destination of  Dalhousie. The Palace was built by Raja Umed Singh in 18th Century and is a perfect blend of British and Mughal Architecture.

Adventure Activities: Adventure Seekers can enjoy Horse riding, Paragliding, Small treks and Zorbing at Khajjiar
