Day 1: Dehradun/Kathgodam to Lohajung (Drive Day)

Distance: Around 250 km drive

Duration: 10–12 hours

Difficulty Level: Easy

The first day is not a trekking day but a long journey towards the base camp of Lohajung. After reaching Lohajung, trekkers rest at the guest house, meet the team, and prepare for the upcoming trek.

Day 2: Lohajung to Bekaltal

Trek Distance: 6 km |

Duration: 5–6 hours

Altitude: Lohajung (7,600 ft) → Bekaltal (9,950 ft)

Altitude Gain: 2,350 ft

Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate

The actual trek begins from Lohajung towards Bekaltal. The route follows a gradual ascent, meaning the climb increases slowly rather than having sudden steep sections. This helps beginners adjust to the altitude while enjoying the walk.

Day 3: Bekaltal to Brahmatal Base    

Trek Distance: 7 km

Duration: 6–7 hours

Altitude:Bekaltal (9,950 ft) →Brahmatal Base (10,700ft)

Altitude Gain: Approx. 750 ft

Difficulty Level:Easy to Moderate

On day 3, the trek continues from Bekaltal towards Brahmatal Base. The trail gradually climbs higher, with an altitude gain of around 750 ft, allowing trekkers to slowly adjust to the increasing height.The day includes gentle climbs and a few descents, making it a comfortable and enjoyable section of the trek.

Day 4: Brahmatal to Brahmatal Top and Descend to Daldam

Trek Distance: 12 km

Duration: 8–10 hours

Altitude:Brahmatal Base (10,700ft)→ Brahmatal Top (12,2500ft) →Daldam ( 10,000 ft)

Altitude Gain: Approx. 1,550 ft

Altitude Loss: Approx. 2,250 ft

Difficulty Level: Moderate

This is the most challenging day of the Brahmatal Trek. The day starts with a climb from Brahmatal Base (10,700 ft)toBrahmatal Top (12,250 ft), with an altitude gain of around 1,550 ft. The trail has some steep sections, so trekkers need to walk slowly and maintain a steady pace.

After reaching the summit at 12,250 ft, you get beautiful views of famous Himalayan peaks like Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, and Nilgiri. After enjoying the summit views, the trail goes downhill towards Daldam campsite (10,000 ft), with an altitude loss of around2,250 ft.

The longer walking distance, steep climb, and higher altitude make this day more tiring compared to other days, but with good fitness, proper breaks, and a comfortable pace, beginners can complete it comfortably.

Day 5: Daldam to Lohajung and Return Journey

Trek Distance: 4 km

Duration: 4–5 hours

Altitude:Daldam (10,000ft)→Lohajung (7,600 ft)

Altitude Loss: Approx. 2,400 ft

Difficulty Level: Easy

The final day of the Brahmatal Trek starts with a descent from Daldam campsite to Lohajung. Since the trail goes downhill, trekkers lose around 2,400 ft of altitude while completing this section.After reaching Lohajung around noon, the team begins the return drive towards Rishikesh or Dehradun, marking the end of the Brahmatal Trek experience.
