5. Ali Bedni Bugyal

ALi Bedni Bugyal duo together makes the highest and largest high altitude meadow in India.


It is a part of the famous Roopkund Trail. It is like a Golf ground with Lush green grass crowned by the majestic Himalayan Peaks like Mt.


Trishul, Nanda Ghunti and Chaukhamba in the back ground. It is a perfect trek to be in the lap of nature and walk over the endless meadows of the Himalayas.

4. Rupin pass trek

This is one of the best high altitude pass treks done commercially in India.

Graded as moderate to difficult level, it is like an elder sibling to the Hampta pass trek. If there is a trek in India that surprises you at every turn, it has to be the Rupin Pass trek.

It starts from Dhaula in Uttarakhand and ends at Sangla in Himachal Pradesh. It can be started from Rohru and end at Dhaula as well.

3. Bali pass

Starting from the Sankri Region in Uttarakhand this High altitude Pass connects the famous Har ki Dun Valley with the Yamunotri Temple.

Har ki Dun is a perfect mix of adventure, culture and mythology with lot of Himalayan villages with history going as back as the Pandavas.


It is said that the Pandavas took the same path on their way to heaven. har ki Dun Valley crowned by the majestic Swargarohini Peak is one of the most beautiful valleys in India.


The trek is long but can be done by beginners as well as intermediate terkkers.

1. Gaumukh Tapovan trek

This is the most beautiful trek in India which takes you to the source of the river Ganga whcih is known as Bhagirathi at this point.

It comes in Gangotri National park and is rich with flora and fauna. You may find a lot of Himalayan blue sheeps on the trail.

The 45 km trek offers a variety of terrain with forest, riverstreams and glaciers surrounded by the great Himalayan peaks.

Tapovan is another attraction of this trek which is a high altitude meadow just below Mt. Shivling.
