- Build Your Physical Stamina First: Don’t let the “easy-to-moderate” label fool you,the climb is physically tough. You don’t need to be a gym freak, but start jogging for 30 minutes a day before you go. A great trick is walking up stairs at home while wearing a loaded backpack to get your shoulders and legs used to the weight.
- Pack Reliable Waterproofing: Because you will be trekking in the monsoon season, rain gear is an absolute must. An absolute must-pack list includes a good raincoat or poncho, a waterproof cover for your backpack, and a few plastic Ziplock bags to keep your phone, wallet, and spare clothes completely dry.
- Wear Proper Trekking Shoes: A good pair of trekking shoes can make a huge difference on the trail. The route can become slippery and muddy during the monsoon season, so choose shoes with strong grip, ankle support, and water-resistant features.
